Most of these bolts are replaced by the many damages caused by tightening and loosening with the wrong tool (the use of a hammer and chisel is very popular). Secure the flywheel with a clamp and locking bar and loosen the bolt(s) with the appropriate socket wrench. If you follow this procedure, you do it correctly without damaging the bolt or bolts.
The bolts used on a Type 4, WBX and Diesel engine cannot be reused. These are tension bolts which may not be reused once they have been tightened to the correct torque. With the Type 4 engine you should also take care to replace the locking plate (see tab options), this is also for one-time use only.
With type 1, type 3 and CT/CZ motors, the flywheel bolt is equipped with the gearbox primary shaft bearing, if this bearing is worn you can replace it separately (see replacement parts tab) but it is much easier to mount a complete bolt with the bearings. Before mounting a new bolt, make sure that the bearing is lubricated with the correct grease (see options tab) and that the felt seal does not lock on the main drive. If this is the case, the seal may come off, which can cause gear shifting problems. If necessary, enlarge the felt a little.
