Product description
It is quite common for this oil pressure switch to be the cause of a small oil leak. If the switch no longer works properly, you will not be warned about low oil pressure, which may result in serious engine damage.
Therefore, regularly check that the system is functioning correctly. If the warning light does not illuminate when the ignition is switched on, the switch is most likely defective and should be replaced. Once the engine is running, the warning light should go out. If it remains on, this may indicate low oil pressure. In that case, switch off the engine immediately and investigate the cause.
You can choose between two quality levels. The difference lies in the switching accuracy within the specified pressure range. The B quality also provides timely warning, but the switching point may vary slightly more within the stated tolerance values. The A quality switches more accurately and remains closer to the specified pressure value or pressure range.
Additional information: the thread is tapered, therefore the switch does not need to be screwed in completely.
