This manifold makes it possible to fit a progressive central carburetor. It's often claimed that fitting a central carburetor is impossible, but the opposite is true. Correct adjustment requires a level of craftsmanship that is often lacking. It should be added that fitting side-mounted carburetors is a better option in terms of driveability and power, but on the other hand, a center-mounted carburetor is much cheaper and delivers more power than the standard carburetor.
The manifold is largely made of aluminum, which conserves heat. If this were not the case, the carburetor could freeze during the coldest periods.
It comes complete with gaskets and mounting hardware. In addition, it is necessary to use the manifold end ports of a 1600cc Type 1 engine. If you don't have them (1300cc end ports have an internal diameter too small for the central manifold), you can find them in the "options" tab.
