If the inlet is enlarged, you will have problems with the standard seal, these are designed to fit exactly to the standard size. In such a case, stronger inlet seals are needed, which have more material around the inlet doors so that you can cut them to size if necessary.
Another great advantage is that they are made of compressed paper, which guarantees a better seal than the original metal versions. In the case of metal gaskets, the gasket is formed by compressing the raised sealing surfaces; in the case of these paper versions, it is compressed over its entire surface, thus sealing any unevenness of the contact surfaces.
These stronger intake seals are therefore not only suitable for high-performance engine applications, but also guarantee better sealing in standard applications. If you prefer to mount an original model gasket, these are listed under the alternatives tab.
