With this T-adapter, you can install an oil pressure or oil temperature sensor in place of the oil pressure switch without eliminating the oil pressure switch.
Although this is an excellent location for measuring the oil pressure, we do not recommend measuring the oil temperature here. Tests have shown that the temperature measured at this location may differ from the actual oil temperature by 10 to 15 degrees.
For the most accurate possible oil temperature measurement, use a special dipstick for Type 1 engines. For Type 4, CT/CZ and WBX engines, use an adapter to replace the oil pressure plug, or use a sensor that replaces the oil drain plug if this is possible for your engine. You can find these alternatives under the tab of the same name.
Installation tip: Apply PTFE tape to the thread. This ensures a good seal and also allows you to determine the final position of the adapter after installation, if necessary.
Note: The thread is 1/8 NPT. Its dimensions are approximately equivalent to M10 x 1.0, and it can replace an M10 x 1.0 connection without any problems.
