Vastapainolla varustettu kampiakseli estää tärinän ja vaahtoamisen suurilla kierroksilla, joten se on erittäin hyvä investointi kaikille, joiden moottori käy säännöllisesti yli 4500-5000 kierrosta minuutissa. Moottori käy pehmeämmin, voi tuottaa enemmän tehoa ja sen käyttöikä on pidempi kuin alkuperäisen kampiakselin asentamisen yhteydessä.
Kaikissa tyypin 1, tyypin 3 ja CT/CZ kampiakseleissa on 8 lukitusreikää (lukitustapit on asennettu) vauhtipyörän kiinnittämistä varten, ja ne on porattu epäsymmetrisesti siten, että vauhtipyörä voidaan kiinnittää kampiakseliin vain yhteen suuntaan, mikä on tärkeää tasapainotuksen kannalta.
Jos et asenna uutta kevyempää vauhtipyörää, jossa on vakiona 8 reikää, sinun on lisättävä 4 lisäreikää olemassa olevaan vauhtipyörään käyttämällä työkalua #01103 . Vauhtipyörän asentaminen 4 nastalla on mahdollista, mutta sitä ei suositella suurempitehoisille moottoreille.
Kaikki kampiakselit on varustettu suurilla öljykanavilla, poikittaisreiällä öljyn virtauksen parantamiseksi, mikropelatulla laakeripohjalla ja dynaamisesti tasapainotetuilla laakereilla (uudelleentasapainotusta suositellaan vauhtipyörän ja kampiakselin hihnapyörän kanssa). Nämä kampiakselit valmistetaan myös yhdestä ainoasta taotusta osasta kromimolybdeenistä 4140 tai 4340. Kromimolybdeeni 4340 on yksi kestävimmistä tuntemistamme metalleista, joten se soveltuu hyvin kampiakseleihin, varsinkin jos siitä halutaan saada suuri teho.
Kaikki kampiakselit on suunniteltu VW:n tappitapeilla varustetuille yhdystangoille, joiden mitat ovat VW:n alkuperäiset. Jos ostat "Super Stock" kampikammion (saatavana vain tyypin 1 ja tyypin 3 moottoreihin), säätö on nolla tai hyvin minimaalinen, nämä on sovitettu pidemmälle iskuläpille.
Huomautus: Puhdista öljykanavat huolellisesti, tehtaalla saattaa olla vielä jäljellä hiomajäämiä.
