Product description
The fuel pump also does not last forever. External leakage is fortunately visible, as it poses a fire hazard in the hot engine compartment. However, it is more common for the fuel pump to leak internally. In that case, fuel leaks through the base into the engine block.
If the engine oil smells like gasoline, there is an internal leak. Always check this when the oil level has increased. In that case, replace the fuel pump immediately. Gasoline has no lubricating properties, which can lead to severe engine damage.
Attention! The high-quality fuel pump listed here is suitable for the specified engines and model years, provided that the correct push rod is ordered as well. This is a 100 mm rod. Do not confuse it with a 108 mm rod, as this will cause the pump to be irreparably damaged immediately after starting.
Always order this rod separately. The correct rod is listed under the “Options” tab. If this rod is not clearly listed on the same invoice as the fuel pump, the warranty on the fuel pump will be void.
