This electric fuel pump is usually necessary when multiple carburetors are installed for tuning purposes. The pump has a higher capacity than the original mechanical fuel pump and is also not dependent on engine speed.

As soon as the carburetor is sufficiently filled, the fuel pump will continue circulating freely. A return line is therefore not necessary.

The opening in the crankcase for the original mechanical fuel pump must be sealed with a cover plate (see the “Options” tab).

This rotary electric fuel pump is supplied including a mounting bracket and two hose clamps.

We recommend mounting the pump lower than the fuel tank, because this pump does not suck fuel but pushes it under pressure.

This fuel pump is only suitable for 12 volt carburetor engines.

It is strongly recommended to install a safety relay as well (see the “Options” tab), so the fuel pump automatically switches off if the engine stops running.

This is a high-quality fuel pump with quiet operation and a longer service life than the cheaper pulsating versions. If you are looking for a more affordable alternative, you can choose a pulsating version listed under the “Alternatives” tab. In addition, a rotary pump with a fixed pressure of 0.2 bar is also available, perfectly suited for Weber or HPMX carburetors.

Note: Many people install an electric fuel pump in the engine compartment, often directly onto the engine itself. Although this may seem like a logical choice, it is not the safest mounting location. It is better to mount the pump outside the engine compartment, for example to the chassis or bodywork. The disadvantage is that vibrations can be transferred, which may be noticeable and audible inside the cabin. By mounting the fuel pump with vibration dampers, this problem can be eliminated completely. It is therefore recommended to order them at the same time, see the “Options” tab.

Attention: For a long service life and reliable operation of the fuel pump, it is important to install a fuel filter before the pump. Warranty is excluded if it appears that the pump has failed due to contamination.
