Product description
Rust, loss or deformation are the most common reasons for replacing the oil dipstick.
This oil dipstick is identical to the original and features the original galvanized finish. If you prefer a chrome-plated version, a black-coated version or a Billet version, please see the Alternatives tab.
For a better seal than the original design, we recommend ordering an oil dipstick grommet as an option. This grommet was originally fitted only to Type 4 engines, but it also works very well on Type 1 engines. The grommet keeps the oil in and dirt out much better than the small piece of cloth fitted in the recess of the original Type 1 dipstick.
