Monet luulevat, että venttiilikannen vuoto johtuu ainoastaan kuluneesta tiivisteestä, mutta usein ongelma on jännityskannattimessa. Jos se on menettänyt kimmoisuutensa, se ei enää paina kantta kunnolla, mikä aiheuttaa vuodon.
Havaitsitko tämän ongelman tien päällä? Taivuta sitten kiristyspidikettä varovasti väliaikaisena ratkaisuna. Kotiin päästyäsi vaihto on kuitenkin tarpeen. Kun kiristyspidike on menettänyt puristuspaineensa, sitä ei voi pysyvästi ratkaista taivuttamalla uudelleen.
Vakiokiristinkannattimia on saatavana sinkittynä versiona (kuten alkuperäinenkin), mustaksi pinnoitettuna ja Type-1-, Type-3-, CT/CZ- ja WBX-moottoreita varten myös kromattuna versiona.
Tyyppi-1-moottoreita varten (lukuun ottamatta 25- ja 30hv-versioita) on saatavana kaksi kiinniketyyppiä:
Alkuperäisille Saksassa valmistetuille Volkswagenin venttiilikansille (korkeus ± 5 cm) tai Meksikosta peräisin oleville alkuperäisille VW:n venttiilikansille, jotka ovat mitoiltaan samanlaiset kuin jäljennösmallimme (korkeus ± 4,7 mm). Korkeus mitataan venttiilikannen korkeimmasta kohdasta.
Näiden kansien välinen ero on korkeudessa, joten myös kiinnikkeet ovat erilaiset.
Onko sinulla alumiiniset venttiilikannet (Paruzzi #1767) ja kiristyskiinnikkeet on vaihdettava? Silloin tarvitset tietyntyyppiset kannattimet; nämä eroavat alkuperäisestä mallista ja vaativat mukautetut kannattimet.
Huomautus: Muista tilata uudet tiivisteet mukaan, ne eivät ole uudelleenkäytettäviä. Löydät sopivat tiivisteet Options-välilehdeltä.
