Originality is a priority for many classic car owners. If they have the opportunity to keep the original, they take it.
If your clutch cylinder needs replacing, you can buy a completely new one, but you can also consider overhauling it, in which case you'll at least keep the original exterior. The overhaul kits offered depend on the brand, so check the clutch brand before ordering. If it's another brand for which we don't offer an overhaul kit, dismantle it first and look at the photos to see if there are any similarities. There's no guarantee that this kit will fit, but it's worth a try.
Warning: many people use brake fluid to put the assembly back together smoothly, which is no good - brake fluid is very aggressive and has no lubricating effect. Only use assembly paste for this purpose! This not only ensures smooth assembly, but also long-term preservation. With brake fluid, the opposite is true. Use assembly paste on pistons, cylinder interior and all rubber parts. Take this as well (see 'Options' tab).
