Product description
In order to make the clutch more flexible and lighter to handle, Volkswagen introduced the hydraulic clutch in 1980. No more trouble with broken cables and a heavy clutch pedal to operate. This modification has considerably improved driving comfort. Unfortunately, this system also has its disadvantages, clutch cylinders do not have eternal life.
The clutch master cylinder is located behind the clutch pedal and ensures the pressure build-up. The fluid is then transported through fixed lines to the auxiliary cylinder (or cutch slave cylinder) mounted on the gearbox, the auxiliary cylinder moves the clutch fork.
Use DOT 4 brake fluid to fill the system.
