Full LED lighting has become indispensable in the modern automotive industry, not only because it reduces energy consumption, but above all because it offers far greater light output than the DUPLO or H4 headlamps with which our classic Volkswagens are equipped as standard.
It's not easy to find Full LED headlamps with European homologation that fit the existing configuration of our classics, and the development costs are very high, so many manufacturers decide not to devote energy to them. But we've found the solution with these Full LED headlamp units, which can be fitted into our Buggy headlamp housing without any further modification and without any problems. For VW Vanagon owners, there's good news too, with additional stainless steel conversion rings that can be ordered separately, these Full LED headlights can be mounted on the existing mounting slots in your VW Vanagon.
You'd think that these 7-inch headlights would also be suitable for other VW models, but unfortunately the depth of the headlight housing isn't sufficient for that. In addition to high, low and city lights, these units also feature daytime running lights and parking lights. These have a separate socket and should not be used. If you wish to use them, you'll need to adjust your wiring accordingly.
Note: When using them in our Buggy headlamp housing, you should bear in mind that the weight is multiple that of a standard sealed beam headlamp or H4 unit. Make sure the mounting location is solid, consider reinforcing the Buggy's polyester bodywork where the headlights will be mounted.
