Product description
If your fuel filter is extremely dirty, it can affect the fuel supply to such an extent that the engine does not get enough fuel. You can install a new filter over and over again, but, isn't it wiser to renew the fuel tank?
Usually, rust flakes are the cause of the blockage. Cleaning the tank can sometimes help, but not for long, the metal is corroded and will in no time cause another blockage.
The tank has a solid black powder coating and needs no further treatment. However, if you install them in a daily transport vehicle, which must be able to withstand all weather conditions, it is advisable to provide the underside with additional protection in the form of an undercoating.
Note: During production, the inside of the gasoline tank has received an anti-corrosion treatment, the anti-corrosion agent used must be removed before installing the tank. If you don't, the anti-corrosion agent will go along with the fuel, which will lead to deteriorated performance and at worst clogging.
Use carburetor cleaner such as Cataclean #50230 to clean the inside of the gasoline tank, then rinse well with gasoline several times. Inspect that the tank is clean and empty, then you can install it worry-free.
