Product description
On subsequent T2 Bus models, the tank inlet is a free plate that is screwed into the body behind which the rubber filler neck is located. This is also the case for third-generation Bus models (with the exception of Syncro).
In most VW models and years of manufacturing our range is rich, the tank inlet is incorporated into the filler neck. A good method in itself, but less flexible. This is probably why Volkswagen changed it in 1974.
The locking washer on the filler cap only ensures that a filler cap can be placed in it. If the filler cap no longer closes properly, the cause may be in this circlip, but it is usually replaced due to corrosion. In addition, these washers are often used in homemade creations, you must take into account the fact that you are ordering the right fuel cap with you. Also look under the related parts tab for the parts associated with this part.
