Product description
If the fuel filter becomes extremely contaminated, the fuel supply can be restricted to such an extent that the engine receives too little fuel. You can keep fitting a new filter, but it is often more sensible to replace the fuel tank.
Rust flakes inside the tank are usually the cause of the blockage. Cleaning the tank may help temporarily, but it generally does not provide a lasting solution. The metal has already been affected, allowing new rust particles to come loose within a short time and block the fuel filter again.
This fuel tank uses the original fuel cap with a diameter of 80 mm. Order it separately if required; the correct fuel cap is listed under the “Options” tab.
Only the union nut for the fuel connection on the underside is supplied with the fuel tank. The fuel tap must be ordered separately and is also listed under the “Options” tab.
