Product description
When the fuel filter becomes extremely contaminated, the fuel supply can be restricted so much that the engine receives too little fuel. You can keep fitting a new filter each time, but in many cases it is more sensible to replace the fuel tank.
Rust flakes inside the tank are usually the cause of the blockage. Cleaning the tank may help temporarily, but it generally does not provide a lasting solution. The metal has already been affected, which means new rust particles can come loose again within a short period of time and block the fuel filter once more.
This fuel tank uses the original fuel cap with a diameter of 80 mm. Order it separately if required; the correct fuel cap is listed under the Options tab.
Only the union nut for the fuel connection on the underside of the tank is supplied. Do not use any other union nut than the one supplied.
As an alternative, a complete connection kit is available under the Options tab. When using this kit, the supplied union nut is not used.
Unfortunately, a fuel tap cannot be fitted to this fuel tank.
