By replacing the suspension springs of the Volkswagen Beetle 1302 or 1303 and the Volkswagen Vanagon for those that are lowered, it becomes possible to lower these VW models by a few centimetres as well.
On the Volkswagen Beetle, this only applies to the front, the rear can be lowered by moving the torsion springs a little.
The VW Vanagon is a four-piece set for all four wheels and is not suitable for Syncro models.
Beware! Always check if the springs in the longitudinal direction of the VW Beetle have no play, if this is the case, the spring will have play while driving or in the worst case can come out of its grip point, you will have to adjust the shock absorber. With the springs lowered by 8 cm of the VW Beetle, this is necessary anyway, there are no shock absorbers ready for this application, machine the axis of the shock absorber by 1.5 to 2 cm (depending on the chosen shock absorber) and also have a 1.5 to 2 cm bush made which fills the space created in the trunk.
Note: The reduction given is a factory reference to a new factory spring fitted as standard. You cannot compare this with a spring that has been mounted for years, the reduction will then deviate from the specification.
