Product description
After the major model change in 1967, the Volkswagen Bus was completely revised and, like its predecessor, the new Bus was available in various forms, ranging from a van with a minimum of luxury to a luxury version for passenger transport. Unlike its predecessor, the new T2 Bus was now also available with fixed windows in the front doors for the basic versions and vent windows for the more luxurious versions.
If you think that the vent windows cause drafts, you are mistaken: when you open them, the hot air is sucked out of the cabin without any drafts. Volkswagen had already proven that the use of vent windows was a perfect ventilation solution without being hindered by draughts and wind noise, which is why many people chose a new T2 Bus with vent windows.
You can restore your existing vent windows with the many parts sold separately (see the replacement parts tab). If you don't want to take up the challenge, they are also available mounted. The best solution for a final factory result that you will probably not get with the restoration of your old vent windows.
Note: Remove the support clip mounted in a drainage hole on the underside of the frame, it is mounted to ensure stability during the production process.
