Product description
It often happens that this oil pressure switch is the cause of a small oil leakage. If it turns out that the switch is not working at all, you will not be warned when the oil pressure is too low, which can lead to major engine damage.
If the indicator light does not come on when the ignition is switched on, the switch is most likely broken and will have to be replaced. When the engine is running, the light should go out, if it stays on it may indicate low oil pressure; stop the engine immediately and investigate.
Note for air-cooled engines:
The thread is conical (tapered), so the switch does not need to be screwed in to the end.
Note for water cooled engines:
On the later WBX engines and all Diesels there are two switches which switch to a different pressure. To make the difference clear, each switch has its own colour, compare this with what you are going to order. Especially if two possibilities are given. The switch seals on the mounted washer.
