Product description
The metal frame around the glass is originally made of steel, it is often affected by rust. If it is worth restoring your vent wings, most parts are available separately, including the frames around the glass.
When disassembling, you will notice that the frame will not remain in its original shape, the rust has weakened the whole. Use a new rubber for mounting between the glass and the frame (see options tab), use only glycerin for mounting, it is a lubricant that does not affect the rubber.
Do not forget to mount the lock before pressing the glass into the frame, the fixing of the lock is very difficult afterwards and the risk of glass breakage is very high. The frames are made of stainless steel painted with black powder coating, rust will never happen again. If you prefer to mount chrome frames, they are unfortunately only available as complete inspection windows.
