Product description
Most air-cooled Volkswagens were not originally equipped with a rear anti-roll bar. Fitting a rear anti-roll bar can therefore noticeably improve handling. The anti-roll bar reduces body roll in corners and helps keep the rear suspension more stable and controlled.
This heavy-duty rear anti-roll bar is intended exclusively for cars with IRS rear suspension and has a diameter of 19 mm. The anti-roll bar is mounted to the torsion tube and the rear suspension, linking the movement of the left and right rear wheels.
A rear anti-roll bar is especially recommended in combination with a heavy-duty front anti-roll bar. The matching front anti-roll bar is listed under the Options tab. Making only the front end stiffer can alter the balance of the car and increase understeer. A well-matched front and rear anti-roll bar provides more balanced handling.
The anti-roll bar is supplied as a complete kit with urethane rubbers, mounting clamps and fitting hardware. No additional parts are required for installation.
