Product description
The swing axle rear suspension has the characteristic that wheel camber can change considerably as the wheel moves up and down. Especially during hard cornering, a rear wheel can extend too far and adopt an unfavourable angle, which can negatively affect handling.
This camber compensator was specially developed to reduce this effect. Unlike a conventional anti-roll bar, this version consists of a transverse spring mounted underneath the gearbox and acting against the swing axles. The spring limits excessive extension of the rear wheels and helps prevent major changes in wheel camber.
The result is calmer and more predictable handling, especially during hard cornering. The system is specifically intended for cars with swing axles and should therefore not be confused with the conventional rear anti-roll bar used on cars with IRS rear suspension.
The camber compensator can be fitted on its own. For a further improvement in handling, it can be combined with a heavy-duty front anti-roll bar. Where applicable, the matching front anti-roll bar is listed under the Options tab.
The camber compensator is supplied as a complete kit, so no additional parts are required for installation.
