A curved crankshaft pulley can occur in the event of a collision, but in most cases, the damage is caused during disassembly.

The crankshaft pulley can be very tight and even with the use of a specially developed pulley extractor (see the Related Parts tab), it can always happen that the pulley is deformed, although the probability that you will damage the pulley with a special tool is limited to a minimum. A curved pulley causes vibrations that can be felt deep inside the car, it will also damage your engine.

The crankshaft pulleys are available in different models and diameters, originally the 1200 and 1300 cc engine has a pulley with a diameter of 170 mm and the 1500 and 1600 cc 177 mm, this due to the higher power of the engine so a higher cooling power is required.

If you want to increase the cooling power of a 1200 or 1300 cc engine, replacing the pulley with a larger diameter pulley is a good choice. On the other hand, a larger pulley costs more engine power, the smaller the pulley, the more engine power it will produce. If you don't want to give up cooling capacity, but want to get the most engine power from your pulley, look at the weight, the lighter the weight, the higher the engine power. If you do not want to change the original appearance either, you can consider mounting a black aluminum pulley, it is almost the same appearance as the original, but entirely made of aluminum.

If you are only looking for a spare pulley, there is the reproduction of the original black steel model and a similar but chrome-plated model for the finishing touch.

In terms of weight, the three pulleys are different, this is mentioned with each pulley.

The steel pulleys, like the original, have notches for the top dead center and ignition time on the inner edge, while the aluminum pulley has a scale on the outer edge.

Note: Do not assume that the notches for ignition are in the right place for steel pulleys, compare this with your old pulley before starting the adjustment. If you do not, there is a chance that the ignition will not be properly adjusted, which can cause significant damage to the engine.
