If the easier filling of engine oil and the improved oil cap locking system are not enough reason to fit this oil filler, then its clean appearance certainly is.
The original oil filler must be removed using the special tool intended for this purpose (see the 'Options' tab). The new oil filler can then simply be screwed into the generator/alternator stand. A small modification that gives the engine compartment a completely different appearance in just a few minutes.
Like the original, this oil filler has one connection for the crankcase ventilation, but it does not have the oil drain pipe that was factory-fitted to older engines. In practice, this pipe often caused the underside of the engine to become oily.
The oil cap screws onto the filler instead of being secured with the original bayonet fitting. This is also considered an additional advantage by many people.
