Product description
Factory-assembled driveshaft or IRS shaft boots were in one piece. Over the years, the boots have often been replaced by split axle boots, which are much easier to assemble. The reason why VW did not install this system in series is very simple: with a divisible boots, there is always more chance of leaks.
Although you need specific tools to tighten the boot and the assembly takes more time and effort, you are assured of a leak-free solution and an exact setup as your Volkswagen left the factory.
The boot is fixed on both sides by a clamping band, it is mentioned on the tab "options".
