Product description
The swing axle must be adjusted with the paper seals that are standard in the complete gearbox seal sets (see related parts tab), to get the correct adjustment you sometimes need additional seals.
If you lift the axle and it slowly moves down due to its own weight, you have achieved a correct adjustment. Start the adjustment by placing a large amount of gaskets between the bearing cover and the gearbox and remove one each time until you get the right adjustment. This way you'll break the seals, but you won't have to take everything apart and it will save you a lot of work.
