Product description
An alternator (AC) is more efficient than a direct current generator (DC), not only does it last longer, but the battery will also be charged faster, which is not a luxury with today's electrical accessories. On some VW models, an alternator is fitted as standard. But if you still have a 12 volt DC generator and you want your battery to charge faster, replace it with this alternator.
If you have a 6 volt system and wanted to upgrade to 12 volts anyway, this is a good time to upgrade directly to an alternator. This kit includes an A-grade alternator with integrated voltage regulator, alternator bracket, mounting strap and a set of three backplates.

Note: You can only transfer your existing generator pulley if your old generator was 105mm in diameter, if it is 90mm, please include the extra pulley, it is listed in the options tab.
