Nämä yhdystangon holkit, joita kutsutaan myös männäntapin laakereiksi, sijaitsevat yhdystangon yläosassa, jonka läpi männäntappi kulkee.
Ne on vaihdettava lähes jokaisen moottorin peruskorjauksen yhteydessä; jos männäntappi voidaan työntää holkin läpi kevyellä peukalopainalluksella, vaihtaminen ei ole tarpeen, mutta useimmissa tapauksissa se ei ole tarpeen.
Kun vanha holkki on poistettu, uusi holkki työnnetään paikalleen, ja sitten alkavat vielä suoritettavat toimenpiteet. Poraa reiät öljykanavaan ja hio sisäpuoli, kunnes männäntappi voidaan työntää holkin läpi kevyellä peukalonpaineella.
