Korroosion tai repeämisen aiheuttamat vauriot ovat yleisin syy generaattorin kiinnikkeen vaihtamiseen. Jos vaihtovirtageneraattorisi halkaisija on 105 mm, voit valita alkuperäisen alumiinisen mallin, ja niille, jotka haluavat moottorinsa kiiltävän kaikilta yksityiskohdiltaan, on tarjolla kromattu malli.
Tämä vaihtovirtageneraattorin pidike on kopio vaihtovirtageneraattoreiden (AC) kanssa käytetystä mallista, joten sitä voidaan käyttää myös tasavirtageneraattorin (DC) kanssa. Huomaa, että tasavirtageneraattorissa alun perin käytetty malli eroaa tästä mallista. Tämä ei ole este asennukselle, mutta harrastajille, jotka haluavat 100 % alkuperäisen ulkoasun, se voi olla ongelma.
Huomautus: Öljyntäyttöaukon mutterin kierteessä voi olla vielä tuotannon epäpuhtauksia. Ennen täyttökappaleen asentamista käännä ensin mutteri pienellä porausöljyllä generaattorin pidikkeeseen asti, jolloin kierteet puhdistuvat ja öljyn täyttökappaleen asentaminen helpottuu.
