Product description
Most Volkswagens were originally equipped with chrome headlight rings. This also applies to the Karmann Ghia, which had three different types of headlight rings throughout its production years. These differences depend not only on the production year, but also on the type of lighting used.
Models that were factory-equipped with sealed beam headlights, as was required in the USA at the time, have different headlight rings than models with replaceable bulb (duplo) lighting. In addition, for sealed beam versions, the production year also plays a role in these differences.
The differences are minimal and therefore often overlooked. As a result, a headlight ring is frequently ordered that can be made to fit, but does not fully match the original.
The headlight ring listed here is identical to the original. However, always carefully check the production year of your Karmann Ghia and which type of lighting is used before ordering. This ensures that you select the correct headlight ring.
