If the Volkswagen Beetle is equipped with retractable rear windows, this has been retrofitted or chosen as an additional option when purchasing at the dealer. In our climate, this option was not popular, but in warmer regions it was often ordered. The system works so well that it is still used today in modern cars.
On all VW models, pop-out windows were available, but only on the Volkswagen Beetle, the hinges were clearly visible from the inside. To finish it clean, plastic caps were mounted on the hinges, they are probably discoloured, torn or completely missing over the years.
The caps are available in black, chrome or ivory.
