For the Volkswagen Beetle, the pop-out rear windows were an additional factory accessory that was not very popular because of the price and our climate, but in countries where the thermometer regularly exceeded 15 degrees, a very popular accessory.
Before new pop-out kits appeared on the market, second-hand pop-out windows were brought en masse to Europe from various hot regions, causing prices to skyrocket every day, at a time when demand exceeded supply. With the advent of these window sets, the situation has changed; why spend a fortune on an un-restored set of windows, most of them incomplete, when they are completely new and available.
With the deluxe versions, all the preparations for assembly are present, with the Beetle 1200 basic versions produced in Mexico, it is necessary to drill holes for hinges and locks, not that it is a lot of work but it has to be done.
The sets come almost complete, the only thing you would need to order with them is listed on the “options” tab.
