Product description
All electrical connections located more or less outside the passenger compartment must be protected against unwanted contact and corrosion. From the outset, these contacts are protected, if not by rubber, at least by a plastic casing.
6.3 mm spade plugs are the most common type, and the housing shown here is intended for them, but only if the flat plug is fitted with a barb. Spade plugs without barbs are only used in non-insulated areas, or in a connection plug commonly used by Volkswagen.
Spade plug housings are retrofitted to the flat plug, so there's no need to crimp a new plug if only the housing is missing.
