It's not always necessary to buy a complete wiring harness, repairing the existing wiring harness can fix the wiring in many cases. There are countless different cable colors and thicknesses for all VW models, so it's important not to underestimate them. The color doesn't really matter, except that when troubleshooting using the original wiring diagrams, it's useful to use the right color wiring for each repair. It's also very important to use the right thickness of wire. You wouldn't be the first to have a fire caused by using the wrong thickness of wire.
The 0.5 mm² wiring mentioned here is mainly used for control current and complies with Volkswagen specifications, not forgetting the correct yellow color.
