The headliner listed here differs from the original design in several aspects. It has been modified for easier installation and is designed to be suitable for a wide range of production years.
To achieve this, the number of support bows has been adjusted. The number of bows therefore does not need to match the number originally installed. In addition, the areas around the windows feature fewer stitched seams.
The advantage of this headliner compared to the TMI version is the easier installation. Please note, however, that installing a headliner is always time-consuming and must be carried out carefully.
The headliner is supplied in Deluxe specification. This means that not only the roof section is covered, but also the sides at the B-pillar, the frames around the rear side windows, and the area around the rear window.
If you own a Volkswagen Beetle where originally only the roof section was covered and you wish to install a Deluxe headliner, please note that the roof is not factory-prepared for this. In this case, additional mounting strips must be installed.
Do not forget to order spray adhesive. This is the only type of adhesive suitable for installing this headliner. If the sound-deadening felt attached to the roof has deteriorated, we recommend ordering this at the same time.
