Hearing the name "Nardi" makes the heart of the classic sports car enthusiast beat faster. The dream of one day obtaining an original Nardi steering wheel at an affordable price is almost an impossible task. This has now changed with this wooden steering wheel inspired by the Nardi design, although it is not cheap, but more accessible than the original to make your dream come true.

In 1958 Enrico Nardi started a collaboration with Enzo Ferrari: Mr. Ferrari used to pay a lot of attention to the details of his cars, which Enrico could offer at the wheel. There was a long term collaboration between Nardi and Ferrari, most Ferraris were equipped with a Nardi steering wheel as standard. It is partly thanks to this collaboration that the Nardi steering wheel became world famous and that not only Ferrari, but also many brands with a racing history were able to give credit to Nardi. Nardi has been selected as a supplier of production cars by Lancia, Audi, Maserati, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Lotus, TVR, McLaren, Volkswagen, Abarth and BMW, among others. In addition to production cars, the accessories market was even larger, which allowed Nardi to reach a much wider target group and made the installation of a Nardi steering wheel accessible to everyone.

This steering wheel of Nardi design has a diameter of 40 cm, is made from a single piece of aluminium with wooden outer parts that have finger holes at the bottom for a better grip. The steering wheel is not completely flat but has a depth of 3 cm. With the steering wheel hub (not included) this is the right depth for our Volkswagen. The good quality chrome mounting ring and mounting material are included. The horn cap is not included with the steering wheel, always take it as an extra (mentioned on the options tab).

If you only have the steering wheel, you also need a suitable steering wheel hub, always order it additionally (mentioned in the options tab). This steering wheel hub is only suitable for a Nardi design steering wheel and not for an original Nardi steering wheel.

You will have to transfer the steering wheel ring from your old steering wheel, but if it is no longer present or if you no longer have an old steering wheel, you will have to order it as well.
