Product description
When fitting a sports steering wheel, you usually have to transfer the turn signal release ring from your old steering wheel. This ring ensures that the indicator returns to its original position after use. There's nothing more annoying than having to manually put the lever in its place. If this is the case, a piece of the turn signal switch may have broken off or the ring may be missing or defective. For older VW models this ring only has the function of an unlocking ring and for younger cars this ring is also equipped with a collector ring for the horn. The slip ring is often damaged, preventing the horn from making contact. If your car is not equipped with a slip ring, a wire runs through your steering column to operate the horn.
