In the 1960s and 1970s, EMPI introduced many accessories to the market that are still very difficult to obtain today. After Mr. Bug's takeover in the mid-1970s, many exclusive EMPI accessories disappeared, resulting in a proliferation of reproductions from the 1980s to the present day. Since the year 2000, EMPI has taken over the production and more and more old accessories have been brought back into production with modern means and materials but with the appearance of the 60s and 70s. This is also the case with the GT steering wheel, which has three heavily chrome-plated spokes and uses real wood, unlike reproductions that use plastic with a wood pattern.
The GT steering wheel is delivered without the necessary hub with horn, which you will always have to add according to the VW year or model for which the steering wheel is intended (see options tab).
The diameter is 38 cm and the thickness (handle) is 23 mm, a classic size that fits perfectly with Volkswagen's classic concept.
