Product description
Electrical connections outside the body must be protected against corrosion. Therefore, you will not find any connections that are not protected. Make sure that no plugs are exposed outside the chassis or body.
The rubber protection cap mentioned here has a diameter of 10.5 mm and the wire passage on the other side is 2 mm and is used by Volkswagen for various connections.
