Product description
These nuts have been used for several functions in different Volkswagen models. They are used as a bearing nut for the front wheel on the right-hand side, for mounting the ball joint on the spindle, for mounting the steering wheel on the tie rod and as a locknut for the ball joint on the tie rod.
For the steering wheel nut function, some models mention complete years of manufacture, so the chassis number is then important:

For the ball joint fixing nut function, which is only used on the VW type 3, they are used up to chassis number 167 880.
