The Volkswagen Vanagon has undergone many innovations including the windshield washer system, which is electric from the prototype, a great improvement over its predecessor which never had this luxury.
The wiper switch mentioned here controls not only the two-position wipers but also the windshield and rear window washer system. If your VW Vanagon is not equipped with a rear window washer system, it is not used, at least it is prepared for it.
If the switch has defects, its replacement is the only option, and if it can be repaired with great creativity, it is usually only for a short time.
