Product description
To create more interior space, all Volkswagen Westfalia campers were equipped with a raised roof section. From model year 1968 onwards, Volkswagen changed from the small sliding roof hatch to a large pop-top roof. This provided considerably more standing room and also created space for an additional sleeping area or extra storage.
On models from 1968 through 1973, the pop-top roof is hinged at the front. From the model change in 11.1973 onwards, this was changed to the rear.
The pop-top roof seals against the body with a clamped rubber seal. For the T2 Bay from 11.1973 and later, you can choose between two versions. The A-quality version is manufactured in one piece, just like the original. The B-quality version listed here consists of separate rubber sections.
With the B-quality version, the seal between the roof luggage tray and the body is included as standard, whereas with the A-quality version this seal must be ordered separately as an option.
If you are looking for perfect fitment and originality, choose the A-quality version. If your budget is more limited, the version listed here with separate rubber sections is an excellent alternative.
