Product description
To create more interior space, all Volkswagen Westfalia campers were equipped with a raised roof section. From model year 1968 onwards, Volkswagen changed from the small sliding roof hatch to a large pop-top roof. This provided considerably more standing room and also created space for an additional sleeping area or extra storage.
On models from 1968 through 1973, the pop-top roof is hinged at the front. During the model change at the end of 1973, this was changed to the rear.
The pop-top roof seals against the body with a clamped rubber seal. This rubber seal is manufactured in one piece and is therefore identical to the original. Not to be confused with cheaper versions consisting of multiple sections where the corners are not bonded together.
The rubber seal between the roof luggage tray and the body is not included. This seal can be ordered separately as an option, see the “Options” tab.
