Product description
With the exception of VW Beetles 1302 and 1303, the windshield washer water tank is located behind the spare wheel, in a recess beneath the fuel tank. Only at the end of 1980 was the reservoir moved to the inner fender.
On models from 1.1954 to 7.1960, the brake fluid reservoir is also located here. When brake fluid spills out, it eats away at the paintwork and corrodes the metal, eventually causing rust holes.
The piece of sheet metal mentioned here was never supplied separately by Volkswagen; at the time, a complete rear spare wheel well had to be ordered. With the advent of new restoration sheet metal parts, this tray is now also available separately, allowing you to keep as much original sheet metal as possible.
