Product description
The gearshift mechanism of the VW Vanagon is considerably more complex than that of its predecessors. One drawback is that the joints wear out more quickly.
The shift rod consists of three parts: the front shift rod, the middle shift rod and the rear shift rod. The longest part is the rear shift rod, which is the subject of this article.
The most common problem is a bent shift rod. In addition, wear in the linkage between the central shift rod and the rear shift rod can cause problems. This is a frequent cause of gear change problems.
