On Type 1 engines, the oil filler is bolted to the alternator bracket using a hollow nut. The same nut is used on Type 3 engines to secure the crankcase breather.
(Un)fitting this nut requires special tools, which are listed under the "Options" tab. Many people don't buy this tool and try to loosen the nut with a screwdriver and hammer. As the nut is often firmly attached, this damages the notches. Even if you manage to loosen the nut, it's usually no longer usable.
Tip: are the notches damaged? If so, use an internal wrench to loosen the nut. You'll then be able to fit a new nut and won't need to buy an external wrench.
