Product description
In the first generations of waterboxers (WBX), the cylinder head was sealed with only the rubber gasket. In retrospect, this did not prove to be sufficient and it was advised to use not only the rubber gasket, but also liquid gasket, it was added to the gasket from 1985.
If Volkswagen mentions this supplement when ordering the seal, assume that this is not a free advice, but a pure necessity. Therefore, do not use any other solution than the one prescribed by Volkswagen.
Do not try to revive the old rubber seal, but always use a new seal.
Supplied in a 70 ml tube with nozzle and tube key.
