Product description
Tank caps are available new for all models and model years. They are available without lock and for some years also with lock (including two keys).
As an additional order check, some caps include the method of closing and/or the diameter of the filler neck. The diameter of the filler neck largely corresponds to the diameter of the seal.
These tank caps are supplied including the seal and for some caps this seal is also available separately. If the seal for your fuel cap is available separately, it is listed on the "Replacement Parts" tab.
Please note that through July 1967, the Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia had three different fuel tanks, hence three different caps. In the 1970s, Volkswagen unified this by providing all replacement tanks with the same filler cap, using a cap from a VW Bus. The replacement petrol tanks #3089 , #492 or #483 offered by us are the same as the replacement supplied by Volkswagen at the time, so also using the filler cap from a VW Bus (#485).
