Product description
The cover plate covering the support beam is aligned with the front panel. If you proceed in the original way, connect the lower edge of the front panel to the edge of the cover plate, after which the excess part is folded around the edge of the cover plate, creating a seam.
With this method, it is important that your front panel is in very good condition. As this is not the case in most cases, you can mount a completely new front panel, where you can make the connection between the front panel and the cover plate in the same way as the original, i.e. with a real seam.
If you wish to keep the original front panel, the underside will probably need special attention, that's what this cover plate is for. This cover sheet has an imitation joint with an extra 6 cm protruding sheet. These 6 cm are intended to save the underside of your existing front panel.
This cover plate is up to the imitation seam identical to the original as it left the factory, therefore with the right openings for the bumper brackets. This also explains why there are several models available depending on the year of manufacture.
