Product description
On older engines, the flywheel is not sealed with an O-ring, but with a gasket that will need to be replaced if the flywheel is removed for any reason.
The material of the gasket and its thickness are essential, the thickness being the most important. If they are too thick, you will have problems adjusting the axial play. The gasket shown here meets Volkswagen's specifications 100%, making it the best gasket on the market. If you already have a gasket and don't know what quality it is, look at the color, dark green is a perfect gasket, all other colors are made of the wrong material and often too thick
Note: You only need one but always take a few more. When adjusting the end play, the flywheel must be disassembled several times before the correct end play is achieved. This will often damage the seal, and you will not be able to put it back together.
